KEY POINTS ABOUT THIS FJ Cruiser
The FJ Cruiser was reborn after more than a 20-year hiatus with modern power yet old school looking.Each and every 2014 FJ Cruiser is powered by a 4.0L V6 engine and this one has the optional automatic transmission. This powertrain was engineered for 260 HP and 271 lb-ft. of torque. With the low overall miles, you'll find this powertrain is still very strong, vibrant, and responsive.

The exterior shows normal aging for a 2014 model year vehicle.
The design of the FJ Cruiser features two full size front doors with reverse opening rear doors. When both side doors are open, there is an expansive opening for both passengers and cargo, plus the rear opening hatch gives added cargo options.
There was only one trim available in 2014 with the option between a 2WD or 2-4WD drivetrains. There were a couple of options and features added.

Upgrade Package
- Includes 17-inch alloy wheels, upgraded traction control on four-wheel-drive models, rear parking sensors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, ancillary gauges and trip computer functions, and an 11-speaker JBL sound system with a six-CD changer.
Convenience Package
- Includes rear privacy glass, a rear wiper, a spare tire cover, keyless entry, cruise control, a rearview camera and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Powertrain and Mechanical
- Variable valve control allows the lift, duration and/or timing of the intake or exhaust valves to be altered while the engine is in operation.
- Two camshafts (DOHC), one operating intake valves and the other exhaust valves, are located above each bank of cylinders. The design is very adaptable to multiple intake and exhaust valves.
Safety and Security
- Brake assist senses panic braking from the speed of the brake pedal's travel and applies all available power brake boost.
- Electronic stability control monitors and compares vehicle dynamics to driver input (steering/braking/speed). When oversteer (fishtailing) or understeer (plowing) is detected, the computerized system engages the traction control and anti-lock brake systems in an attempt to control skidding.
