The 2026 Audi Q5
Performance
The BMW X5 delivers commanding performance that enthusiasts from LaGrange and beyond have come to expect from the Ultimate Driving Machine. The X5 offers a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine producing 335 horsepower and 330 pounds of torque, enabling a 0-60 mph time of just 5.3 seconds. For those seeking even more power, available configurations deliver up to 523 horsepower.
The Audi Q5, while capable, features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 261 horsepower and 273 pounds of torque. This results in a 0-60 time of approximately 5.7 seconds. Drivers in Phenix City who prioritize spirited driving will appreciate the X5's superior power output and dynamic handling characteristics.
Size and Interior Space
One of the most significant differences between these vehicles lies in their dimensions. The BMW X5 is classified as a midsize luxury SUV, offering up to 72.3 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. Passenger comfort is enhanced by generous legroom of 40.4 inches in the front and 37.4 inches in the rear.
The Audi Q5 falls into the compact luxury SUV category, providing 54.1 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity. Residents of Opelika who frequently transport family members or cargo will find the X5's additional space invaluable for daily activities and weekend adventures alike.
Technology Features
BMW's iDrive 8 system powers the X5's technological capabilities, featuring a curved display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.9-inch central touchscreen. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, natural voice commands, and over-the-air updates.
The Q5 utilizes Audi's MMI touch response system with dual touchscreens measuring 10.1 inches each. While functional, the BMW's larger curved display and more intuitive interface provide a more premium user experience. Auburn, AL drivers will appreciate the X5's available head-up display, gesture control, and BMW Digital Key technology.
Safety Features
Safety remains paramount in both vehicles, but the BMW X5 offers an impressive suite of driver assistance technologies. Standard features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring. Available options include BMW's Driving Assistance Professional package, which includes extended Traffic Jam Assist and active lane keeping.
The Q5 provides similar safety technologies, including adaptive cruise control and parking sensors. However, the X5's available Active Protection System, which can detect potential collisions and preemptively tighten seat belts and close windows, demonstrates BMW's commitment to occupant protection.
